WeWork, which at one time hit a market valuation of $47 billion, has filed for bankruptcy in the United States.
The legal positioning behind this moves is that the filing will protect it while it restructutres. It is now worth less than $100 million.
During this time it’s office spaces will remain open and operational.
The business was one which was hit hard by the COVID 19 lockdowns, and the move away from working in a centralised office. It has surprised hardly anyone at all that the business would fail.
