Container terminals across Australia in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth closed Friday after a Cyber attack on DP World Australia.
DP World Australia is responsible for administering almost half of goods entering and leaving Australia.
The company is a subsidary of the Dubai state-owned DP World and has resumed operations as of today.
DP World has stopped internet access on Friday to prevent “ongoing unauthorised access” to its network.
This stopped the transport of containers as the logsitic system required internet access to function.
It is currently unknown who is repsonsible for the cyber attack, and what their motives may be.
