Former ByteDance exec Yintao Yu made the damaging allegations in a San Francisco Superior Court filing relevant to his wrongful termination case.
He says that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) members were able to access US TikTok user data, Mr Yu says.
In the filing, Mr Yu claimed that members of a CCP committee had access to a “god user” credential that let them see all the data collected by TIKTOK..
YU also claimed that the committee members were not employees but were physically present at the Bytedance offices in Beijing.
YU alleged that in 2018 the CCP committee members used their “god credential” to identify and locate Hong Kong protesters.
